Aging is not ‘lost youth’ but a new stage of opportunity and strength
Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional
Silver Innings is a new beginning for our Elders. It is a new path, the journey of successful ageing.
It is an initiative started on 10th April 2008 by youngsters far removed in distance but united in the cause of Elders. Who’s afraid of Ageing is what this team believes in. It’s a team effort under the leadership of founder Sailesh Mishra.
Sailesh’s passion to work for Elders made him give up paid job for good, and his experience in corporate and social sector inspired him to start on his own and set up Silver Innings, a one stop destination for information for the Elders and their family members.
At Silver Innings we are working towards creating Elder and Dementia Friendly World where Ageing becomes a Positive and Rewarding Experience.

Read MoreThe care given to residents at Silver Innings' A1 Snehanjali elder care homes is based on best practices and forward thinking approaches to dementia care. In this regard they are well ahead of the majority of dementia care homes in both Canada and India. The book 'Remember ME' by Silver Innings will continue to inspire our George Brown College students and faculty to strive for the standard of excellence that founder Sailesh Mishra and his staff provide at their homes.
We acknowledge, congratulate, and thank Sailesh Mishra and the Silver Inning Foundation for their great work in support of older people in India and for their excellent book with its important insights, and for its contribution to our understanding of how we can better support our elders.”
Silver Innings, under the leadership of Mr.Sailesh Mishra has been in the forefront of Senior citizen welfare initiatives since 2008. Another laudable work from this organization is a book on Dementia and related disorders. “Remember Me” is an effort to educate people about dementia and its management. There are scholarly articles that cover a whole range of issues- nature and extent of the problem, holistic approach to its management, architectural and community support for dealing with the patient and care giver problems. Congratulations to Silver Innings for being proactive and addressing the needs of seniors.
Being connected with the heart is the unique and wonderful mission of Sailesh Mishra and his staff of Silver Innings . In our later years, we may find ourselves dependent upon the kindness of strangers. ‘Remember ME’ the book by Silver Innings is of forward thinking, and human rights focused, It is a living tribute to Person with Dementia by Sailesh Mishra who has devoted himself for the cause. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the Silver Innings, A1 Snehanjali team for looking after and genuinely caring for my dad, Mr. Fernandes, who has been with them since May 2016. They came through as a real blessing in our time of need. I was very reassured, happy and at peace to see him looking well and saying he is happy and so well looked after. I am certain with your love, care and patience he will feel safe, at ease and at home. Thank you for being our angels on earth. No words can express the gratitude I feel towards you and your team. We could never have done what you are doing for him.
My dad K.P Bhaskaran is a resident of Silver Innings project, A1 snehanjali since 2014 Dec. Within a month's time A1 snehanjali became more of his home than his own home. A1 Snehanjali as a foundation is a blessing to many of us. They know very well to take care of elders with dementia. The care takers work 24X7 to ensure all the residents are given equal attention. The simple veg food served is also as per the dietary needs of each of the residents. The broad smile on the faces of all the care takers and the secretary of A1 snehanjali is contagious. Saliesh Mishra and Mona Mishra who started this initiative are adorable and extremely helpful people who do a systematic inspection of the families who are interested in being a part of A1 Snehanjali. Celebrating small and big occasions is a practice followed to spread the joy among the residents and bring up their morale. Blessing. Strong Support. Care. Love and lots of love sums up the role of Silver Innings and A1 Snehanjali in me and my family's life.
